There is something deliberately difficult to pin down about Westwood.
Operating under the name @westwood.mp3, the emerging artist has been carving out a sound that sits somewhere between hyperpop, electronic pop and alternative-minded songwriting. His music pairs processed vocals with electronic production, creating tracks that can feel simultaneously intimate and larger-than-life.
That identity has continued to take shape through a growing catalog that includes All to Myself, Fall, JUST TOUCHED DOWN, Wrong With This, 2025, i just wanna party, F.U.M.L., and The Man. His 2025 project Glamour further established the aesthetic surrounding the Westwood name.
But Westwood's story isn't limited to recordings.
From the Studio to the Stage
Over the past year, Westwood has increasingly brought his music into live spaces, with performances stretching across several major U.S. music markets.
In May 2026, Westwood made his New York City debut at Trans-Pecos in Queens, appearing alongside Corey Lingo for an event presented as a co-headlining debut. The bill also featured Yung Frendi, Karta and Jalenvlm, with DJ sets and visual elements rounding out the night. The event was billed as Westwood and Corey Lingo's first arrival in New York, giving Westwood an opportunity to introduce his live show to a new audience.
Westwood's live run continued in Colorado. On July 30, 2026, he appeared at Denver's Treehouse as part of a Bassurgence event alongside GOODTR!P B2B BRITEHOP.
The Denver connection continued into September, when Westwood appeared at Larimer Lounge on September 3 alongside Owtlet, Jordan Savage, Rvggz, ODZ and Yalaxy. The performance was part of a growing run of live dates that has taken Westwood beyond his home market.
Then came Los Angeles.
On September 4, 2026, Westwood performed at The Echo, one of Los Angeles' established independent music venues. The show paired Westwood with pryme!, with the event beginning at 8 p.m. and the performance scheduled for 9 p.m.
The run illustrates something increasingly important about Westwood's development: his music is beginning to exist as a live experience rather than simply a collection of recordings.
A Sound Built for Movement
Westwood's music has been described as hyperpop and electronic pop, with autotuned vocals and dynamic electronic production forming an important part of the sound. Tracks such as Eyes, Kiss and Ur All Mine showcase the more electronic side of the project.
That electronic foundation also translates naturally to the stage.
His SoundCloud catalog includes material such as WESTWOOD DUBWUB HEADLINE SET #2 and WESTWOOD DUBWUB COLORADO HEADLINE SET 01, suggesting that the live side of the project is not simply an extension of the recorded music, but an important component of the Westwood identity itself.
The result is an artist whose world continues to expand outward: songs become performances, performances become events, and those events introduce Westwood to audiences in different cities.
The Next Chapter
With appearances in New York, Denver and Los Angeles during 2026, Westwood has begun establishing a footprint that reaches well beyond a single local scene. His recent performances also place him in increasingly varied environments, from Denver club nights to a New York debut and a Los Angeles show at The Echo.
For an artist still in the process of defining his sound, that movement may be just as important as any individual release.
Westwood isn't presenting himself as one easily categorized genre or aesthetic. Instead, the project continues to evolve through electronic production, stylized vocals, visual identity and an increasingly active live presence.
And if the trajectory of 2026 is any indication, Westwood's next chapter may be considerably bigger than the room he's currently performing in.
